The EJSCT-writer writes to on-board flash memory (ROM) through JTAG port. This writer can be used as a flash memory (ROM) programmer for program alteration just before shipment because the writer is able to write to memory (ROM) that is mounted on board. Compact size is helpful for flash programming in the field.
[Discontinued Products] Universal Probe Blue for next generation product.
Useable as stand-alone writer without PC
It can be used as a stand-alone flash writer without connecting to a PC. You can write data directly to flash memory and also CPU internal flash memory on target by one-touch batch button on the unit. It will provide an easy-to-use and better solution in sites like factory and mass production line where multiple units are used.
Equipped with Organic EL display
The contents of execution are indicated for confirmation
[Examples]
Writes data by one-touch PLAY button
Starts to write by pushing the PLAY button on the unit.
Possible to [Delete] by long push of the button.
Easy to use for any workers as it is not necessary to operate a complicated process once the script is registered.
Useable as an automatic writer and a device to update versions for large numbers of prototype or mass-produced products.
The external terminal setup for detecting the end state of PLAY button and a script externally.
The script can be executed by inputting signal to external input terminal on the back side of the unit.
[External terminal]
Supports: ARM series, Cortex-M series
Easily supports program alteration before shipment
It is possible to write to flash ROM like a program alteration when users find a bug just before shipment because it can write to on-board flash ROM directly.
Flash memory writing at a low cost for small quantity and prototype
Already written flash ROMs are usually delivered to factories for the mass production but they will be expensive incase of small quantity and prototype. Easy writing to on-board Flash ROM enables you to work efficiently. Especially in case of semi-custom production by a small program change, it will enable to manufacture a variety of products with less labor.
Support over 300 types of FLASH Memory
Supports flash memory (ROM) devices from various vendors. New devices will be added to our supporting list. Also supports flash incorporated microcomputers.
* Refer to the
Supported flash memory list for more details.
* Possible to write to NAND type and serial flash type when users make a custom program.
Eco system in combination of universal H/W as a common platform and specific S/W
In order to write to flash memory in a different type of CPU, you need to purchase only the software additionally as the same hardware unit can be used as a common platform, so you can save the cost. In addition, when you purchase the debugger software the hardware unit can be used as a JTAG emulator for debugging.
Supports USB bus power supply
It operates not only as a stand-alone without PC but also as a system powered by USB bus power when connecting PC. AC adaptor is not needed in this case. It is convenient as you can choose the way depending on situations.
High-speed writing by JTAG connection
JTAG connection enables to operate at higher speed than serial connection, and shortens the writing time significantly. Resources on target will not be used unnecessarily only for the purpose of writing.
Host
Operates on various host computers like PC (refer to Purchasing Guide of Lineup) and note PC (USB connection).
